The
support from the community is an important part of the long-term
success of the Sanborn Area Historical Society. Your time as
a volunteer, donation
of artifacts or monetary contributions are always appreciated.
If
you wish to make a donation via credit card, you can do so securely
at our on-line Square Marketplace store.
The
Sanborn Area Historical Society is a nonprofit society chartered
by the NY State Board of Regents. We have a Farm Museum complex
located at 2660 Saunders Settlement Rd (Rte.31) Sanborn, NY.
Our mission is to create a Farm Museum that preserves, interprets
and promotes the heritage of rural Niagara County for residents
and visitors alike. . The museum is open free to the public
on a regular basis throughout the year for self or special guided
tours. It is also open to visitors to our 9 fundraising events
held throughout the year by our 400 all volunteer membership.
We also host bus tours and tours for children & adult groups
upon request. All buildings are handicap accessible.
As
a result of being closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have
lost the money from our fund raisers normally available to support
our operation and maintenance of our facilities. At this point
we need the support of our members and the public in order to
carry on. All donations are tax exempt to the fullest extent
of the law.
